This year I decided to be Luna Lovegood from Harry Potter. For my costume I wanted to buy as least parts as possible. I found boots, socks, tights, a skirt, and blouse. Since I had no pink coats I had to search thrift stores to find one and since it was too large my mom tailored it for me. I made the glasses by printing out stencils and tracing and cutting out the pink frame part on pink sparkly cardboard. For the actual frame I used 3D glasses. For the lenses I used a thin plastic sheet that I coloured with sharpie and swirled it to get an effect that’s similar to the actual glasses. For the magazine I found a print out online (the cover is not my image) and taped it on to a seventeen magazine. I made the earrings myself out of beads and wire. I looked at some tutorials of how to make them but I used my own pattern in the end. It took me about six hours to make both earrings and I’m really proud of how they turned out.
