Somewhere in the back of one of my favourite local thrift stores, buried in a pile of miscellaneous electronics, I found the perfect little point-and-shoot camera – a Pentax AF60. It was only $4 so I had to buy it. And that brings my film camera total to about 8 now.
After months of trying to hunt down a battery to fit it – they were sold out in literally every store and I refused to order one off Amazon – I loaded the first roll to test it out.
This was a roll of black & white film I picked up sort of by accident at my favourite film store and I didn’t realize it wasn’t C-41 process so getting it developed costs way more. But the results were great. I just wish I had put more thought into every shot since I had assumed it would be a cheap roll to see what’s up with this cheap camera.
This roll was shot throughout May to July, with visits from friends, a short trip to Salt Spring Island with my nephew, and some in progress art work.
