It can hardly focus and can’t handle dim lighting but my 110 camera has a certain quality that 35mm just can’t reproduce. It’s worth wasting multiple frames because there wasn’t enough light or missing the perfect shot since the viewfinder is on the other side of the camera from the lens.
This series of photos was taken on a camping trip this summer to San Josef Bay. I always like to bring both cameras to travel with – my little pocket sized 110 to add its own flair to a quick snap and my 35 mm Canon for taking a higher quality image. My personal favourite from this series is taken in the interior of the Scarlet Ibis Pub, where we stopped for lunch on our way down to San Jo. The dim lighting created the perfect green light leak in the upper corner that looks like sunlight coming in through a window.
